These pictures merely reflect regions, or suburbs, where White Flight has been the most extreme. According to the 2000 US Census, 68% of Chicago's population is non-White. The White population is gathered in the suburbs, and the city center has been abandoned to the non-Whites. These pictures from Chicago show this trend clearly:
