February (2000) : RM launches his first website, "Aryan Myth" (http://www.geocities.com/aryan_myth/), by spamming the guestbook of Thyring's Nordic Page and sending an unsolicited email version of the page to Richard McCulloch. RM's original site was devoted entirely to what would later become his "Myth #1" -- the Hamito-Semitic Britons nonsense and attacks against white Americans.
May (2000) : RM expands the "Aryan Myth" site into "Racial Myths" (http://www.geocities.com/racial_myths/) and spams Thyring's guestbook a second time (he will spam it yet again five months later). RM also spams the SNPAguestbook (p. 25) for the first time.
August (2003) : RM renames site "Racial Reality" (http://www.angeltowns.com/members/racialreal/). Content remains largely the same, apart from the deletion of some libelous passages, and the addition of "evidence" such as Welsh-Hebrew linguistic parallels "discovered" by a 17th century scholar.
October (2003) : RM joins Skadi.net forum as "Medhammer". Lists his political orientation as "Medicist".
February (2004) : RM spams Skadi forums with the URL of his new site, March of the Giants: History of the Medish Race (http://www.angeltowns.com/members/medish/).
March (2004) : RM joins The Phora as "Wiseguy". For RM, "Italian-American pride" consists largely of fantasizing about being a mafioso.
Who is racial_myths?
Ethnic background :
RM has refused to openly state his ethnic background. Based on what he has said, we can infer that he is at least half southern Italian (but not, he will tell you, Sicilian), though he is also said to have claimed to have central European ancestry.
Motivations :
Clearly, RM harbors a great deal of animus toward Northern Europeans and those descended from Northern Europe, particularly Americans (just another example of why the Johnson-Reed Act should have been passed thirty years sooner). It's not surprising that a swarthy southern Italian born in America should grow up to be maladjusted and spiteful. A story posted in RM's guestbook by a fellow Italian may shed some light on the RM mentality:
. . . I grew up in upstate NY and there was almost no Italians in that area. . . . My family was disliked by almost everyone. I was only 7 years old and I was given the name "Nigger", because they all beleived that Italians were mixed with blacks. As I grew up I tried very hard to identify myself to these people as being white. It did not work I was never really accepted as white and even some girls wouldn't date me because they thought I had to be at least a mulatto. People used to hang nooses in my locker and beat me as often as they could. Instead of hating these people I tried to make them accept me. They eventually let me into there little society, but I was just someone they could pick on. . . .
Whether or not RM's childhood experiences with white people were as extreme as this, he must have always been aware that he was out of place. Outside some northeastern cities, southern Italians are everywhere in America a small minority. RM lives in California, an area not exactly known for its large southern Italian contingent.
The knowledge that white Americans don't view him as a racial equal drove RM to create his "Aryan Myth" site, with the intention of convincing white Americans that their racial backgrounds were as questionable as his. RM targetted not those who specifically had anything negative to say about Itailians, but merely those who were interested in their northern European ancestry. Thus, RM spammed the guestbooks of Thyring's Nordic Page and the Society for Nordish Physical Anthropology. Both sites are non-political, and neither site concerns Italians; but that didn't stop them from being targets of RM's rage. Any suggestion that northern Europeans are distinct from southern Italians or worthy of being preserved will draw RM's hatred.
In August of 2003, RM renamed his site and made some design changes which he thought would make the site appear more "objective". Publically, RM always claimed his goal was "refuting lies, misinformation and pseudo-scholarship about race". With "Racial Reality", he continues to claim his site is "intended only to correct misinformation, not to denigrate any group or advance an agenda." Of course, this contention is absurd, since, among other faults, "Racial Reality" continues to promote the "Hamito-Semitic britons" myth, despite RM's having been made aware of contradictory evidence. Instead of correcting his errors, RM shored up his "evidence" for Hamito-Semitic influence in Britain by adding to his page "Cambro-Britannic Hebraisms", the discovery of which he attributes to one Charles Edwards in 1675. That's grasping pretty hard, even for RM. And, naturally, RM couldn't even do his own research. He took the list of "Hebraisms" from a now-defunct British-Israelite website (http://www.geocities.com/Athens/8431/welsh.html).
Later in 2003, RM joined the Skadi.net forum. The Skadi forum was founded by Northern Europeans, and many members are interested in Nordish preservation, so, naturally, RM felt the need to flame them. I believe RM's original account was banned within days, so he re-registered as "Medhammer", unsubtly ripping off an American poster who goes by "Nordhammer".
Most recently, RM has created a new site, "March of the Giants", in which he calls for "Medish People of the World" to "Unite" and expresses his desire to see the genocide of Northern Europeans. Some would like to think the site is a clever parody; but RM clearly invested a good deal of time in it and, as his posts at Skadi show, takes it all too seriously. Undoubtedly, RM created the site intending to write a sort of reverse Racial Compact, the way a Satanist might say the Lord's Prayer backward in order to make himself feel significant. But the site does remove any doubt that RM nurses a violent hatred for his racial betters. And RM does seem to genuinely believe he can make something be true simply by writing it (at least to the extent that he can convince himself), or that he can bargain with people over the truth.
Other :
RM's statements and actions indicate that, in addition to his hatred of "Nordicists", major reference points in his life include porn, gangster movies, and MTV's Loveline (he identifies with the "talented" Adam Carolla).
By his own admission, Freud and Ayn Rand number among RM's intellectual heroes.
RM has listed a Jewish terrorist organization, the JDL, as a "Friend of [his] site" (the link to the NY-JDL remains, though RM now lists the site under a more neutral heading).
RM has put online a page that tries to deflect criticisms raised at this site. Some salient points:
Read critically, RM's attempt to explain himself confirms my theory of his motives. RM writes:
I came across websites where they were meddling in Southern European history and making false and slanderous accusations, all the while painting a rosy picture of themselves. So, I decided to give them a taste of their own medicine using what little information I had at the time. It started out as a joke really . . .
In other words, RM admits he created "Racial Myths" to "get back at" Northern Europeans who he feels slighted him. He softens this admission by claiming it was all a "joke". We'll see this pattern repeated later.
RM admits to spamming the link to his anti-Northern European creation at sites like SNPA and Thyring's, because, he claims, the "biggest offenders had no guestbooks of their own". RM fails to list these "biggest offenders", nor does he explain the thinking behind spamming all Northern Europeans with his "joke", if it was only aimed at the authors of a few websites. RM's behavior confirms my belief that RM resents all Northern Europeans because he knows many don't view him as a racial equal.
RM admits he decided to change direction and claims his site now targets "uninformed web surfers", which supports my view of why he renamed/redesigned his site.
RM writes:
I no longer maintain that there's a Hamito-Semitic influence in Britain, so Anon can call off his dogs.
Yet "Racial Reality" still contains a page attempting to demonstrate "Hamito-Semitic" influence in Britain, through such evidence as "Cambro-Britannic Hebraisms" recorded in the 17th century. "Those Hebraisms," RM writes, "are there mainly to throw in the face of Jew-phobic Kempians who frequently rely on such anecdotal evidence to attack Southern Europeans." So RM is still trying to give those people who cause him feelings of inferiority "a taste of their own medicine". But this must be a "joke" to RM, right? He can't seriously believe these purported "Hebraisms" are legitimate evidence. Wrong. RM goes on to assert they are "legitimate evidence of a link between ancient Celts and the Eastern Mediterranean". No one has ever accused RM of having a sharp analytic mind, and he seems to be in the habit of falling for his own propaganda. Once RM's misinformation is exposed, RM will claim he was only "joking".
RM admits his research skills don't go beyond Google:
Search for "Cato the Elder" on Google Images, and the bust that I picture comes up. Search for "Cato the Younger" and it doesn't. Upon further research, I've noticed that while this site identifies it as a portrait of the Elder, this one considers it to be of the Younger. Evidently, there's some confusion . . .
I also found this passage amusing:
If anything about the RRM website can be seen as dangerous, it would have to be its use of real scientific studies, which give it a false appearance of legitimacy that might fool the unsophisticated reader (of course, that's the whole idea).
Yes, it's so much safer to rely on comparative linguistic evidence developed by a 17th century bible scholar. Actually, "the whole idea" is to allow people to easily check my sources for themselves. That's why I try to give full citations and links wherever possible. As opposed to RM, who amusingly used to give Author (Year) citations without including any references. With the "Racial Reality" redesign, RM finally added a References page, but he also stripped out most outbound links, so that, for example, he now cites a news article as "BBC News, Apr. 2001" without providing a URL. RM's citations are there only to lend his site an air of authority in the eyes of "uninformed web surfers", not to facilitate other people's checking his sources, most of which he hasn't read himself. RM's accusing me of the same is a rather blatant act of projection.
RM tries to write off his "March of the Giants" as nothing but a "parody". But he can't resist trying to make some dumb arguments about "its devastating implications" and "valid research". RM's muddled reasoning and odd relationship with the truth are again on display. RM concludes with:
[Anon's] indignation is misplaced and hypocritical. It's okay for anti-Mediterranean screeds like March of the Titans to be written and taken seriously, but god forbid there should be something anti-Nordic(ist) floating around cyberspace.
Note: In RM's mind, when a Northern European proposes the Nordish race be preserved, or takes a view of history that hurts RM's feelings, RM believes reciprocation entails calling for the genocide of Northern Europeans. Gives you some idea of the psychic distress it must cause RM to know he's looked down on.
RM writes:
On the contrary, I've always sought to emphasize the distinctions between Caucasoid subgroups while supporting the unity of the Caucasoid race. And I don't care to begrudge any group its right to self-preservation. However, I won't stand idly by as Mediterranean Britons are Nordicized . . .
As we saw above, Nordish preservationism enraged RM enough that he felt the need to respond by calling for Northern European genocide. Incidentally, Richard McCulloch was one of the first people RM spammed with his "Racial Myths" site. RM certainly has an odd way of showing he doesn't begrudge Northern Europeans self-preservation. As for RM's bizarre statement that he "won't stand idly by as Mediterranean Britons are Nordicized", what business of RM's are the British Isles?
